"How Cromarty Cares"was a deep mapping project by Dr. Issie MacPhail, which explored health and wellbeing in rural communities. It was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Izzy Thomson was commissioned to make a 5 page pop-up book and a 5 page 2D book. The 2D book was exhibited in The Edinburgh Parliament Buildings.
The pop-up book was illustrated, designed and fabricated by Izzy Thomson. It was printed at The Highland Print Studio and hand-bound in collaboration with artist and bookbinder Kristina Chan.
